SHSP HOMES NEEDED!!!! SHSP homes are desperately needed in Warren County. If you feel that you can provide a loving, nurturing home for a medically-fragile child, please get in touch with Melanie Smith (908-730-7782, x2024) for more information. The main things that you need to know to become a SHSP Home is that 1) the primary caregiver cannot work more than 10 hours outside of the home, 2) you have to attend a 3-day training session in order to become certified, 3) and most importantly, you are responsible for transportation of the child to medical visits, etc., as DYFS non-CPR certified staff are not able to do transport. It's Tax Time ..... Remember the Federal Adoption Tax Credit!!!
